At this section you are given general expectations and information that you will need during your time in CIS.
CIS has a strict list of expectations we expect all members to abide by. This card will inform you what our standards are and what expectations you need to comply with while being within our Discord and when deploying on-site.
This is a list that compiles all of our standards we expect from each and every single member of CIS to comply with. No member is exempt from any of these expectations.
You are expected to:
Have common sense.
Be respectful OOC towards everyone.
Be adaptable, especially in terms of acting.
Be able to collaborate with others.
Communicate in effective ways.
Be creative and reasonable in your words and actions while IC.
Be capable of problem-solving, especially in terms of acting.
Be capable of leadership in situations where it is well fit.
Be professional.
Have good sportsmanship.
Be able to report handbook violations and be honest.
Have common sense with actions and words.
Respect your peers and management.
Be respectful to those outside of the department.
Be adaptable with your learning and work within the department.
Have emotional intelligence, as with all things, to make sure you don’t go past your own limits.
Be able to report and be honest about rule-breaking actions or things that pose a risk.
If you find yourself unable to complete quota for a justified reason, you are always able to file a Leave of Absence in #inactivity-requests. Leave of Absences, which are most commonly abbreviated as a LOA, are breaks that you request at any time. LOAs will let you be exempt from the quota during the duration of your LOA. To file a LOA, you must follow this format:
Roblox Username: Start: End: Reason:The format is listed as a pinned message within the channel as-well, which you may copy whenever filing a LOA.You cannot deploy while on LOA. If you are caught deploying too much on the team, your LOA will be canceled and you will be issued a verbal warning.
There is a limit on how long your LOA can be - 3 months. If you go on LOA constantly without showing any useful activity onsite (outside of your logged absences), we may consider kicking you out of CIS.
Note that LoAs will be not accepted on the last day before quota ends, unless it's a severe emergency that prevents you from getting on.
If you're already on LoA, and it ends between Thursday to Sunday, you will be exempt from quota. However, if your LoA ends between Monday to Wednesday, you will still be required to complete the current quota cycle.
After 3 months of LoA without owning a character, the CIS will be ranked as an intern and will be forced to go through the Internship Program again when they return.
In the event of an actor breaking regulations, CIS HRs follow a general procedure when issuing disciplinary actions and verdicts to what disciplinary action should be pressed against a actor. You may get 5 strikes in total. Recieving 3 strikes will result in an exile, and 5 strikes will result in a Full Blacklist.
IV - 1.1 > First Offenders
Actors who fail to follow a certain regulation without having any prior disciplinary action applied to them on the record, are given lighter punishments unless specified on the regulation. If it's not severe, a verbal warning may be issued. However, there are certain criteria for the verbal warning:
You may only receive a verbal warning once, after which you will receive strikes for future offenses and may not be given a verbal warning again.
If a person has been exiled for disciplinary offenses, a verbal strike is automatically considered a strike.
IV - 1.2 > Repeated Offenders
Actors who break regulations more than once in a 1 month period of time, will be subject to a minimum of 1 week suspension, depending on severity however, harsher disciplinary actions may be taken.
Reaching 4 disciplinary strikes will lead to a exile from the CIS department or in a Full Blacklist.
Strikes that result in exile cannot be appealed.
At the 4th strike, offenders who have joined the department again are eligible for harsher and greater punishments.
IV - 1.3 > Punishment Tiers
Below you will find a list of punishments that can be issued by the HRs. All punishments marked [!] are logged in the spreadsheets and are permanent. If a CIS actor believes that the punishment was unfair, they can contact any of the HRs to appeal it.
Light Punishment
Verbal warning
The offender will receive a message, either in-game or via Discord DM, warning them of their actions.
Written warning [!]
If the offender receives another verbal warning, then they will receive a formal warning from a CIS HR via Discord DM.
Moderate Punishment
Written warning [!]
The offender will receive a formal warning from a CIS HR via Discord DM.
Suspension [!]
The offender will lose access to the CIS team and the department as a whole for a set period of time, depending on the offense.
Heavy Punishment
Suspension [!]
The offender will lose access to the CIS team and the department as a whole for a set period of time, depending on the offense.
Demotion [!]
The offender will be demoted to their former rank.
Rank Lock [!]
The offender will be barred from holding a high rank position in the CIS, either temporarily or permanently.
The punishment tiers do not apply for members of the Probationary Actors Program (PMP). If a PMP member is found guilty of breaking the regulations, an instant exile is to be issued.
As of now, CIS has Age Requirements on many positions or managemental spots, that must be fulfilled or you may be denied a position. Bypassing these Age Requirements without proper authorization will result in a blacklist.
The TSC Age Requirement requires all L5 to be 15+ with no exceptions. Any Assistant Director or Director of CIS must be 15+ or you may risk Administrative Punishment from AD. The current age requirements are listed below:
[1] All HRs must be 15+
[2] All Lead Management+ must be 15+
[*] All DI+ must be 15+
[2] All Team Management Positions must be 15+
[2] All Sub-division HRs must be 15+
The CIS ID system is an in-game feature that allows you to show your CIS’s character ID instead of your username. For example, if your CIS ID is on, and an individual hovers their mouse over you, they will see “CIS ____” instead of your username. The CIS ID feature serves as a tool to show if you are in-character onsite.
When you deploy as a CIS, your ID is by default turned off. To toggle the CIS ID, you can run the !cisid command to display or no longer display your CIS ID.
VI - 1.1 > CIS ID Claiming
New CIS members will not have any CIS ID when they join the group. If you are looking forwards to creating a new character, then you must also claim an additional ID for that new character.
To claim an ID, you have to submit your new character in #entity-requests and wait for it to be accepted. Once it has been approved by a HR+, you may join the main game, go on your character’s specimen, and run the !cisid command. Insert your character’s ID in the small screen that shows up. From there on, !cisid will act as a toggle off/on command for that specific character.
VI - 1.2 > CIS ID Claiming Regulations
Before claiming your CIS ID, please make sure it abides by the following criteria:
You may only claim a CIS ID if the character connected to that ID has been accepted in #entity-requests.
The ID itself does not reference any tragic event, illegal substances, NSFW content, or any references made to bypass any regulations.
The ID hasn’t already been claimed by somebody else.
You are not adding another character to a specimen that already has a character of yours.
You cannot activate different CIS IDs on one specimen.
This does not apply if your previous character of the same species has been archived.
VI - 1.3 > Blacklisted IDs
0420, 0069, 0621, 3621, 0666, 0001+ until 0011, 9950 until 9999, 0911
Anything else that resembles those numbers are also blacklisted.
CIS does not follow a regular quota cycle like every other department. Instead, every two or few months a purge quota wave will be announced. Members must successfully complete the purge quota otherwise they will be exiled from CIS. Purge quotas cycles typically go on for two weeks.
The purge quota is as follows:
1 hour on site
An event or diary log PER character the member has,
There must be one event log a character. For instance, you cannot do 3 events on one character when you have 2 other characters and consider the quota done.
The Probationary Membership Program (Short PMP) is a program that allows people to try out and gather experience acting on CIS. Their stay within the program is limited for an only set amount of time. Individuals who express interest in extending their stay in PMP may fill out another application when their term has ended. Additionally, excellent performance in the program may make an individual look more appealing regarding their CIS application.
VIII - 1.1 > Regulations
As a member of the PMP, all CIS regulations apply where applicable. Violating a regulation will either land you into an immediate exile and may even blacklist you from future CIS application waves and the program itself.
VIII - 1.2 > Recruitment
The program is open on a randomized schedule. There is no set time for when applications will open. When they are open, though, they will be announced in the CIS Recruitment Server with the form link provided. You may also find the application here: Probationary Membership Program Application.
